Service Description

A course focused on the Deliberate Practice Model used by professional athletes to master mental, cognitive, and physical abilities. Knowing your own capabilities with drawing from a holster to understanding the balance of speed and accuracy. Gain quantifiable results in both speed and accuracy through rigorous drills and safety protocols all from concealment. PREREQUISITE: Must know basic firearms safety & firearms handling, this one step up from basic pistol course. Course Objective The objective of this course is to develop each student's ability to safely, consistently, and efficiently employ a concealed handgun through deliberate, measurable practice. Students will establish a baseline of their current capabilities and work to improve the balance between speed, accuracy, all while being efficient. Efficiency is the ability to accomplish the mission using the minimum amount of unnecessary force, movement, and time. Speed is not simply moving faster it is the result of becoming more efficient in how we perform a task. We will find your own efficiency through measurable shooting drills. By the completion of the course, students will have practiced and evaluated their ability to: -Safely and efficiently draw from concealment. -Build a consistent and repeatable presentation. -Improve speed while maintaining acceptable accuracy. -Understand their individual speed vs. accuracy balance. -Perform efficient reloads and firearm manipulations. -Apply deliberate practice principles to identify and improve weaknesses. -Measure performance using objective standards and drills. -Maintain safe firearm and holster handling throughout increasingly demanding exercises. -Leave with a framework for continuing purposeful practice after the course. MUST HAVE: - Reliable pistol with 2 mags (come to class with magazines unloaded) - Concealed holster - 200 rounds - Ear protection - Eye protection NO shoulder holsters NO small of back at 6 o'clock NO Serpa style holsters
