Fortress Warriors is a Jesus centered organization that provides chaplain services and self-defense training.  We are veteran owned and understand what it means to support men and women who want to grow stronger in both their faith and their personal protection. 

Matt and Jessica Farrias are faith centered leaders, instructors, and the founders of Fortress Warriors, a Boise, Idaho based training and discipleship organization dedicated to developing individuals who are spiritually grounded, mentally resilient, and practically prepared. Rooted in Assemblies of God theology, their mission reflects a holistic approach to leadership, personal security, and Christian service integrating biblical truth with real world readiness.​

Jessica Farrias is an ordained ministry leader and seasoned instructor with a strong academic, spiritual, and operational foundation. She holds two master’s degrees. A Master's of Divinity (MDiv) and a Master’s in Christian Ministry. Providing deep theological training, pastoral care experience, and leadership development expertise. Jessica integrates biblical teaching, discipleship, and chaplaincy principles into all areas of instruction, emphasizing spiritual formation alongside disciplined, practical application.​

In addition to her ministry leadership, Jessica is a defensive tactics instructor with extensive experience in curriculum development and instruction for firearms, self-defense, and tactical operations. With a background rooted in military and high stress training environments, she has developed and led courses in active shooter response, force-on-force scenarios, close-quarters tactics, convoy movements, and life saving procedures. Her instruction emphasizes realistic, stress based training designed to prepare students for complex, real world situations.​

Matt Farrias serves as co-founder, leader, and instructor within Fortress Warriors, providing vision, mentorship, and hands on instruction. His leadership reflects a strong commitment to servant leadership, integrity, and community building, supporting an environment where individuals are challenged to grow in both character and capability. Matt plays a key role in fostering a values driven culture that prioritizes spiritual readiness, personal responsibility, and disciplined training.​

Matts background for program design, training standards, safety protocols, and instructor development, ensures all instruction meets a high level of operational realism and professionalism. His leadership style blends technical expertise, calm command presence, and servant leadership, creating an environment where students are challenged, supported, and equipped to perform confidently under stress.​

Together, Matt and Jessica lead Fortress Warriors with a shared passion for discipleship, preparedness, and service. They are deeply family and community driven, living in Boise, Idaho, where they are raising their three children and investing intentionally in the people around them. Their work is grounded in the belief that true strength flows from a life anchored in Christ and expressed through humility, courage, and service to others.​
